How to Prepare

Please be on time for your appointment.
Plan 1 hour for headshots, 2 hours for couples, families, groups, etc.

Hair and Makeup
Wear your hair and makeup the way you normally do and I will make adjustments for the camera. Bring your makeup bag with you especially your powder, mascara and favorite lipstick.

Want a professional touch?
If you would like a professional to touch you up before your session, I have made arrangements with BANG Salon and Day Spa (located across the driveway from the studio). For just $25, they will make sure your hair and makeup are picture perfect.

Please contact BANG directly at 512-514-1141 after you have made your appointment.

Clothing
Contrary to popular belief, there are no absolutes when selecting a wardrobe for portraits. Feel free to bring anything you feel looks good on you. If you feel good in what you are wearing, you will exude confidence that will come through.

Wear one outfit and bring 2-3 additional choices. I will help you select what will work best. In general, solids are better than patterns. V-necks are better than scoop necks. Long sleeves are better than short sleeves. Simple is better. Jewelry is best simple unless your style is flashy and it is a signature for you.

Couples and families should wear the same color or tone rather than contrasting colors. Black and white are preferred so that we can capture dramatic results.

Payment
Payment is expected at time of service. I prefer a credit card and accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. If you need to pay by check or cash, that’s ok, too.
